Home Bilingualism Workshop

Welcome to the UC Merced Bilingualism Workshop! This interdisciplinary workshop will bring together scholars from psychology, linguistics, cognitive science, and education to discuss research and issues around the topic of bilingualism. The workshop will start at 7 pm Friday with a keynote presentation. On Saturday, various researchers will discuss bilingualism research, including language processing in bilinguals and challenges faced in bilingual classrooms. The Center for the Humanities.

I study Linguistics at the University of Arizona. My research interests include cognitive science, speech production and processing,. Developmental and adult psycholinguistics, corpus linguistics,. Morphosyntax, and indigenous languages and grammars. I also love to cook, and occasionally brew my own beer and cider. In addition, I am working on a morphosyntactic analysis of the Hiaki verbalizer. A morpheme that shows up in an interesting ability modal construction similar to the English.
